FOSSIL, Ore. (AP) - Two motorcyclists were killed and several others seriously injured when a vehicle crossed over into their lane and struck several riders just south of Fossil, Oregon.
KTVZ-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2s4K0zV ) that Oregon State Police troopers and Wheeler County sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash around 10:40 p.m. Saturday.
State patrol Sgt. Jeff Proulx says a vehicle heading north on Highway 19 collided with a group of motorcycles heading south, fatally injuring two riders and seriously injuring several others.
Fossil is about 170 miles (273 kilometers) east of Portland and hosts a motorcycle rally over Memorial Day weekend.
The names of the people involved were not immediately released.
