LEAVENWORTH, Wash. (AP) - Boxes of medical supplies and auto parts floated away after a crash involving a Postal Express truck sent the vehicle into the Peshastin Creek.
KOMO-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2quuXgQ ) the accident occurred Saturday morning about six miles southeast of Leavenworth.
Washington State Patrol Troopers Brian Moore says the driver, who suffered minor injuries, drifted off the highway, overcorrected, then hit a guardrail and rolled into the creek.
The State Patrol says most of the packages are harmless, though a few could pose a risk if opened.
