ASBURY PARK, N.J. (AP) - One of New Jersey’s legendary shore spots is making it easier for visitors to park.

Asbury Park is unveiling a parking smartphone app this weekend that allows users to pay for parking, track how much time they have left and extend their session remotely.

It’s called, not surprisingly, Asbury PARK.

The city says it’s switching from a previous smartphone app to a customized one that is more user-friendly.

Drivers can either pay for individual parking sessions with their debit and credit card, or load funds onto a digital wallet.
