PLANT CITY, Fla. (AP) - Two Florida teens were killed and another was critically injured when authorities say their car ran a red light and collided with another car.

Local news outlets report that 18-year-old Pepe Salgado and his sister, 15-year-old Frinzi Salgado-Diaz, died following the Thursday afternoon crash just south of Plant City.

Florida Highway Patrol says the siblings’ cousin, 18-year-old Edilberto Nava-Marcos, was making a left turn when he crashed into an oncoming car. He was taken to a Lakeland hospital in critical condition.

Two adults in the other vehicle escaped injury, and two children sustained minor injuries.

No charges for immediately reported.
