MACON, Ga. (AP) - No charges have been filed against a driver who fatally hit a pedestrian while swerving to avoid a car.

The Telegraph reports (https://bit.ly/2rouGRN ) that the 27-year-old driver told Bibb County sheriff’s deputies that she swerved into a turn lane to avoid a car that pulled in front of her and did not see a man standing in the middle of the road. The victim was pronounced dead at Medical Center, Navicent Health on Thursday night.

Investigators say they would like to talk to witnesses.
