NEW YORK (AP) - The New York Police Department has made an arrest in the seven-year-old unsolved slaying of a Bronx man’s whose dismembered body was found burning in a shopping cart.

The NYPD says a 26-year-old Manhattan man was arrested on Tuesday and is charged with the murder and manslaughter in the killing of 25-year-old Donnell Harris of the Bronx.

Police say they found the Harris’ remains after being called to a small rubbish fire in a shopping cart on a street in the Bronx on Sept. 1, 2010. Upon extinguishing the fire, officers found body parts inside a bag. A medical examiner later determined them to be the remains of Harris.

An NYPD spokesman couldn’t provide additional information about the case.
