SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Police say an elderly man was found dead in a rose garden outside the California state Capitol building in Sacramento.
California Highway Patrol officer George Granada says the man appeared to have died of natural causes Wednesday. Granada says police and the Sacramento County coroner’s office are investigating the death.
The Sacramento Fire Department responded to a call shortly after 2 p.m. reporting an unresponsive man in the Capitol garden. Responders determined the man had died.
Granada says the man’s body has been removed from the scene. He did not have any additional details about the man’s identity.
