SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Officials say drivers should expect a slightly longer commute while a South Burlington, Vermont, road is closed for construction.
WCAX-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2rTrOZe ) Hinesburg Road will be shut down for two months while crews install a 115-foot box culvert. Officials say the culvert will help provide better flow for Potash Pond drainage.
Drivers would normally use Market Street as a detour, but officials say it will also be under construction starting mid-June.
The Hinesburg Road project is expected to cost $1.5 million. Construction begins June 5, and the project will be complete by mid-August.
Transportation officials say drivers should expect an extra five minutes on their commute.
