NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A man has been arrested after authorities say two Tulane University students were held at gunpoint near the university’s campus.

News outlets report 27-year-old Joseph Guillot Jr. was arrested Monday and charged with two counts of robbery.

New Orleans Police Department spokesman Aaron Looney says the students were robbed in separate stick-ups that were both close to the Tulane Medical Center and the university’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.

Tulane police said in an email that authorities found a gun along with the victims’ property when they arrested Guillot.

It’s unclear if Guillot has an attorney.
