MERIDEN, Conn. (AP) - Police say a Meriden man has died in a motorcycle crash in the city.
Capt. Tom Cossette says 44-year-old Lamont Williams was not wearing a helmet when his head struck a guardrail at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say the preliminary investigation indicates that Williams lost control and was thrown from the bike while negotiating a bend in the road.
Responding officers found the victim between the sidewalk and guardrail on Hanover Road, He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
