FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - The Florida Highway Patrol says multiple vehicles may have hit a woman in the northbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike near Fort Lauderdale.

In a news release says troopers say they don’t know whether the woman walked onto the turnpike or if she fell or jumped from a nearby overpass early Wednesday morning.

Trooper say no one stopped to help after the woman was hit.



According to investigators, the woman was in her mid-20s to mid-30s. She was not carrying any identification.
