PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks is set to host a public dedication event for Good Earth State Park’s new visitor center.

The event is scheduled for Friday. Speakers include tribal representatives, Gov. Dennis Daugaard and Jeff Scherschligt from the South Dakota Parks and Wildlife Foundation board.

Game, Fish and Parks Secretary Kelly Hepler says the visitor center has features including an interactive Oneota culture exhibit, a state-of-the-art theater and a large classroom for park programs.

Hepler says the park is a cultural and historical landmark.
