SPENCER, Neb. (AP) - Reconstruction is expected to hamper traffic on a stretch of U.S. Highway 281 in northern Nebraska.
The work is scheduled to begin Monday, running from Spencer southeast nearly 4 miles (7 kilometers). The Nebraska Department of Roads says the work will include grading, milling and asphalt surfacing.
Motorists can expect lane closures, reduced speed and a width restriction. Traffic will be maintained with signals, a pilot car and flaggers. The work is expected to be finished by late fall.
