BUCKEYE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say one person is dead after two semi-trucks crashed and burst into flames on State Route 85 in Buckeye.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the driver of one of the big rigs was declared dead at the scene of Thursday’s crash.

They say the other driver suffered minor injuries.



The names of the two drivers weren’t immediately released.

DPS officials say the two semi-trucks collided about 11:45 a.m., but the cause of the crash remains unclear.

They say neither of the trucks was carrying hazardous materials.
