ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - A group of teenagers returning from a field trip to Washington were taken to hospitals complaining of symptoms related to overheating.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department said in a statement that firefighters were called to three buses along the side of Interstate 97 in the Annapolis area on Friday evening for a medical emergency and found several ill teens on one bus.

The department says 14 teenagers - all either 13 or 14 years old - were complaining of dizziness, nausea and other heat-related symptoms following an outdoor field trip. They were taken hospitals with symptoms that weren’t considered life-threatening.

Fire department spokesman Capt. Russ Davies says the teenagers were returning to Baltimore from a field trip in Washington D.C.
