STAFFORD, Va. (AP) - Authorities say a husband and wife were injured in a Virginia home fire that appears to be the result of a “domestic situation.”

The Stafford County Sheriff’s office says the fire occurred Monday morning at the Hampton Oaks subdivision. The sheriff’s office says it believe the fire was set after a “domestic situation” between the couple.

It’s unclear who set the fire and the sheriff’s office has declined to provide further details.

The sheriff’s office says the man and woman were taken to the hospital with fire-related injuries. Their condition was not immediately known. The sheriff’s office says the couple doesn’t live with anyone else.

Authorities say no charges have been filed and their investigation continues.
