About to sing the U.S. national anthem at an NHL playoff game, singer Brett Kissel had an idea once he realized his mic wasn’t working — have the crowd sing it with him.
It was a remarkable move, considering the game was in Canada.
Canadian fans at the Edmonton Oilers-Anaheim Ducks game broke out in the “Star Spangled Banner” Sunday, hitting every word and bailing out the singer.
An incredible moment

Kissel was appreciative.
Mic didn’t work for the anthems tonight @RogersPlace. But no worries. The best singers & fans are in #OilCountry! @EdmontonOilers!
