MOAB, Utah (AP) - About 150 students attended a candlelight vigil to mourn the deaths of two teens killed in a crash on their way home from a prom in eastern Utah.
The Deseret News reports (https://bit.ly/2lHV5az) 16-year-old Connor Denney and 14-year-old Taylor Bryant died Sunday after their car went off the road in Moab. Police say the vehicle rolled multiple times and three other teens inside were injured.
Grand County High School students honored Denney and Bryant on Wednesday by lighting candles on the school’s football field.
Some of the teens involved in the crash were on their way home after attending a prom at the school.
San Juan authorities say excessive speed and alcohol were contributing factors to the crash.
They are working to determine how the teens got the alcohol.
