ROBBINSVILLE, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a small plane has crashed into a wooded area near an airport runway, but the 79-year-old pilot only suffered minor injuries.
NJ.com reports (https://bit.ly/2n4EuOL ) that the man was out of the plane when first responders arrived after the crash in Robbinsville Thursday afternoon.
Robbinsville police spokesman Lt. Michael Polaski says the pilot was the only person aboard the home-built plane. He was being treated for facial injuries at a local hospital.
The crash happened near the runway of the privately-owned Trenton-Robbinsville Airport.
