NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say one woman has died in a fire at a home in North Augusta.

Local media outlets reported that firefighters were called around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Belvedere Assistant Fire Chief Jason Todd said a woman and her daughter lived in the home and the mother died. Her name has not been released. The daughter made it out of the house. There was no immediate word on her condition.



The cause of the fire is under investigation.
