GREENBELT, Md. (AP) - Prince George’s County police officers are on scene at a Greenbelt movie theater where they say a burglary suspect is hiding inside of the ceiling.
Police responded to an empty movie theater at the Beltway Plaza on Tuesday evening. Police say the man had been under surveillance and is a suspect in several burglaries. Police say they saw him commit a burglary on Tuesday then chased him into the theater.
Police say tiles were coming loose and falling to the ground while the suspect was moving around inside the ceiling. A police negotiator was using a ladder to talk with the suspect.
