WASHINGTON (AP) - Emergency responders have been called to the Department of Commerce in Washington after three employees got sick.

The Washington Post reports (https://wapo.st/2mu65aS ) that three people working inside the building said they suddenly felt ill on Monday. Vito Maggiolo, a spokesman for D.C. Fire and EMS, said when crews arrived they called for hazmat equipment.

Maggiolo told the newspaper that once the employees went to a different area and got some fresh air they felt better. They are being monitored at the scene.
