MULBERRY, Fla. (AP) - Officials say a 55-year-old central Florida man died in a mobile home fire.
The Ledger (https://bit.ly/2me2sFA ) reports firefighters who arrived at the mobile home park early Sunday found a woman standing outside trying to put out the fire with a garden hose.
When firefighters went inside, they found Eugene David Youmans unconscious. They provide emergency support measures and he was taken to a hospital where he died later Sunday.
Cheryl Baine told the newspaper that her brother lived alone and had retired from his job because of health issues.
The State Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigations is looking into the cause of the fire. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the death investigation. An autopsy will be performed.
