DENVER (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a man who was shot and killed by an officer during a standoff with Englewood police.

The Denver Post reports (https://goo.gl/DB1ZyU ) 32-year-old Michael Kocher barricaded himself inside a home with hostages Friday afternoon and was shot while police were trying to negotiate with him.

The hostages were not injured, and police have not said what prompted the shooting.



Kocher died from a gunshot wound to the torso.
