GAFFNEY, S.C. (AP) - The Cherokee County coroner says a North Carolina man died in an industrial accident in Gaffney.
Coroner Dennis Fowler says 68-year-old Johnny Kent of Morrisville died Saturday at Spartanburg Medical Center. He says Kent was injured while work at the Global Carolina plant.
He says the Gaffney Fire Department and EMS personnel freed Kent from a large machine. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, and the investigation into Kent’s death continues.
