ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) - The Oregon Department of Transportation says Highway 138 east of Glide reopened early Friday after crews cleared a massive boulder that blocked both lanes.

The rock tumbled to the road early Thursday. ODOT spokesman Jared Castle says it was 12-feet tall and weighed about 200 tons.

Crews used explosives to blast the boulder into smaller chunks. Following cleanup, crews repaved the damaged section of highway.
