TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Motorists across New Jersey are urged to slow down because of heavy rain.

A flood watch is in effect for most of the state Friday.

Forecasters say 2 to 3 inches of rain are possible with as much as 4 inches in some parts. The heaviest rain is expected to move through the area from southwest to northeast from this afternoon into the evening.



Flooding is possible along the coast as well as by streams and poor drainage areas.
