BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a man is in critical condition after his vehicle crashed into a school bus while being pursued by police through a Buffalo neighborhood.

Police say the chase started Wednesday afternoon while they were executing a search warrant. Officials say a man pulled up in a car, then hit a narcotics officer as he sped away from the scene.

The car hit other vehicles as it tried to elude police. It eventually crashed and overturned, hitting a school bus carrying six students. Police say all six suffered minor injuries.

The narcotics officer was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while a woman driving one of the struck vehicle suffered serious injuries.

The man who fled police is listed in critical condition at a Buffalo hospital. His name hasn’t been released.
