NEW YORK (AP) - Three people have been critically injured and several others were hurt in an apartment fire in Brooklyn.
It began just after 9 p.m. Thursday on the third floor of a 7-story building on East 26th Street in Flatbush.
Fire officials say three people were taken to Kings County Hospital in critical condition. Six other people were treated for minor injuries.
The blaze was brought under control in less than an hour.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
