WASHINGTON (AP) - Two teenagers were killed and another was injured in a single-car crash in Charles County.
Maj. Chris Becker of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office tells WTOP (https://bit.ly/2lnXM13 ) the car was apparently speeding when it reached a congested area in Waldorf and the driver swerved to avoid vehicles, hitting a utility pole.
The station reports the force of the crash split the car in two.
Two 17-year-olds were pronounced dead at the scene. An 18-year-old was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
