ROSWELL, Ga. (AP) - A former city councilman from the Atlanta area has been indicted on multiple sex charges involving a minor.

News outlets report that prosecutors say jurors on Tuesday returned an indictment against Kent Igleheart on at least 15 charges of sexual exploitation of children and furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Igleheart resigned from his council seat in Roswell last fall after being accused of having a sexual relationship with a teenage girl.

The indictment says Iglehart posed as a teenager online to obtain sexually explicit images and videos of a 14-year-old girl in 2014.

Investigators say he revealed his true identity and began a physical relationship with the girl after she turned 16.

Igleheart was arrested in October 2016 after she reported the relationship to authorities.

It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
