VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - Firefighters say a man died in a house fire in Vancouver.
The Columbian reports (https://goo.gl/3IdqrG ) the fire was reported Tuesday evening by someone passing by who said a person appeared to be in the burning house.
Vancouver Fire Department spokesman Darrin Deming says firefighters arrived to find a bedroom ablaze in the single-story house. He says firefighters tried but couldn’t enter the front door but were able to rescue the man after entering the back of the home.
Deming says the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further information was immediately available.
