WATERFORD, Conn. (AP) - A Colchester woman has turned herself in to police in connection with a drunken driving crash involving three vehicles last December that claimed the life of a 24-year-old woman.
Police on Monday charged 27-year-old Brianne Colonna with second-degree manslaughter, reckless endangerment and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, among other charges.
The accident occurred along U.S. Route 1 in Waterford on Dec. 26. Stephanie Turowski, a 2010 Waterford High School graduate, was killed in the crash while others were injured.
Colonna was released after posting $150,000 bail.
She’s scheduled to be arraigned April 5 in New London Superior Court.
It wasn’t immediately clear if Colonna has an attorney who could comment on her behalf.
