MALDEN, Mass. (AP) - The state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education has scheduled a meeting to discuss several issues.

The board meets Tuesday morning at its Malden headquarters.

Among the items on the agenda to be discussed is the performance of the underperforming Lawrence public schools following a progress report from the system’s receiver.



The board will also discuss and vote on revised English language arts/literacy and mathematics curriculum frameworks; and discuss and vote on next-generation MCAS achievement levels.

Members are also scheduled to hold a final discussion on the state plan for the Every Student Succeeds Act, and advancing the state’s commitment to equity and excellence.
