NORTHFIELD, Vt. (AP) - The country’s oldest private military college is holding its annual military writers’ symposium in April.

Norwich University will host the 22nd annual event April 12 and 13.

This year’s theme is “Won the War, Lost the Peace: The Centennial Legacy of World War One.”

The symposium includes author presentations, a book signing and a moderated panel discussion. Among the guest authors are retired U.S. Army Colonel Robert Dalessandro, who Norwich says is one of the Army’s foremost experts on battlefield interpretation, and Jennifer Keene, a history professor at Chapman University, who has published three books on the American involvement in World War I.

Many of the events are free and open to the public.
