HIGHLANDS, N.J. (AP) - The Coast Guard says 95 passengers were safely transferred to another vessel after a Seastreak ferry ran aground in New Jersey.

The Whaling City Express was about 200 yards from the pier in Highlands when it ran aground around 11:15 p.m. Thursday.

The passengers were transferred to the ferry New Jersey and the Whaling City Express refloated.



Both ferries were escorted to the pier and the Coast Guard is investigating.

There were no injuries and no pollution was reported.
