The head of the Democratic National Committee said the House GOP’s failure to find consensus on a bill to repeal and replace Obamacare as a “BFD.”
“This was a rejection of the repeal of the Affordable Care Act,” said DNC Chairman Tom Perez. “In the words of my friend Joe Biden: This is a BFD.”
House Speaker Paul D. Ryan on Friday pulled the GOP health care bill after it became clear that his leadership team and President Trump were not able to wrangle together enough lawmakers to support the bill.
Not a single Democrat in the House planned to vote for the bill.
