SEATTLE (AP) - Authorities say a 65-year-old woman was found dead after a small fire at a condominium in Seattle.

The Seattle Fire Department says the fire was reported about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on the 2300 block of Northeast 89th Street.

Firefighters say they put out the blaze which had been confined to the kitchen area by a sprinkler system.



Authorities say the woman died at the scene.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified her as Beth Peterson. The cause of death was smoke inhalation and the manner of death listed as accidental.

There was no immediate information on what caused the fire but authorities say it appears to have been accidental.

Seattle police are investigating.
