SAN DIEGO (AP) - Two mothers will seek a restraining order against a San Diego teacher they claim bullied their kids in class.

Beatriz Silva and Teresita Martin plan to ask a judge next month to order Marcus Salazar to stay away from their children.

Salazar is a sixth-grade math and science teacher at Longfellow, a Spanish-language immersion magnet school.

The San Diego Union-Tribune (https://bit.ly/2mO6NNA ) says dozens of parents appeared at a school board meeting this month to complain that Salazar yelled at kids and grabbed them by the arms.

The paper says Salazar couldn’t be reached for comment.

Longfellow Principal Diana Sanchez say the school takes the allegations seriously and has placed a second teacher in the classroom with Salazar to make sure students are in a “safe, nurturing and welcoming environment.”
