Republicans in support of “Trumpcare” are walking on thin ice. Democrats despise the bill (no surprise there) but even Republicans, the party of the bill’s origin, differ in opinion. As a member of the latter group, I say, Back to the drawing board.

Since the Congressional Budget Offie came out with its report, Republicans in support of the health-care bill have attempted to undermine its credibility. They’ve spewed off a number of reasons why the CBO report is inaccurate, and while they make a solid case by citing the CBO’s predictions on Obamacare, they fall short in convincing most of America.

The bill is in need of improvement; there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s not a crime to go back to the drawing board. In fact, it’s better for everyone. So instead of trying to push a bad bill through, Republicans would be wise to revise it and come up with an improved version.
