Authorities ID man who died after Webster City fire

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have identified a Webster City man who died after a fire at his apartment in Webster City.

The Messenger reports (https://bit.ly/2ndvaI3 ) that 51-year-old Lester Davis was pronounced dead at Van Diest Medical Center in Webster City the night of the fire, March 8. A woman who lived with Davis, 40-year-old Tina Murray, was flown to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment.

A firefighter also suffered minor injuries and was treated at a hospital and released.
