LANDER, Wyo. (AP) - A two-vehicle crash in Fremont County has claimed the lives of three Wyoming residents.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says the crash occurred Tuesday about 8:10 p.m. on Highway 789, about 2 miles north of Lander.

Names of the victims were not immediately released.

The patrol described them as an 18 year old male from Lander, a 20 year old man from Greybull and a 15 year old female from Hudson.

The patrol says all three victims were traveling northbound in a 2003 Honda Pilot SUV when the vehicle failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and was overcorrected. The SUV went into a counter-clockwise spin and entered the southbound lanes where it collided with a southbound 1993 Chevrolet Silverado.

Excessive speed and driver inattention are being investigated as contributing factors.
