KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities are searching for a suspect who ripped a security camera off the wall of the Kingman Daily Miner’s office and possibly stole the device.

The newspaper reported (https://bit.ly/2n6M5vA) Monday the surveillance footage shows a man approaching the building while covering his face. About 10 minutes later, a camera on the other side of the building shakes and the video stream goes blank.

The incident, which happened around midnight Sunday, was noticed by a News Miner information technology associate while he was conducting a routine check of the video feeds.

The employee noticed one of the cameras wasn’t on and went outside to check on it, but the camera wasn’t there.

The camera and protective all-weather cover was valued at a little more than $100.
