NEW YORK (AP) - Fire officials in New York City are investigating a fire that damaged a mansion.

Authorities say the blaze started at the historic Upper East Side home around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. Officials say no one was inside the home when the fire erupted.

Crews contained the blaze by 6 a.m. The cause of the fire is not known. An investigation is ongoing.
