BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The Louisiana Lottery Corp. says wrong numbers were broadcast as the winners in two weekend games.
The games were “Pick 3” and “Pick 4,” which have Louisiana’s lowest payouts.
A news release Monday said the statewide broadcast Saturday night gave the numbers as all ones for Pick 3 and all twos for Pick 4.
It says the actual winners were 0-4-7 (zero, four, seven) for Pick 3 and 3-1-8-4 (three, one, eight, four) for Pick 4.
Louisiana Public Broadcasting produces the show and sends it to a station in each of Louisiana’s seven major markets.
LPB president and CEO Beth Courtney says there apparently was some kind of technical problem, and the station is working to make sure it never happens again.
