PAWTUCKET, R.I. (AP) - Fire officials say no one was hurt when a blaze destroyed an apartment building in Pawtucket over the weekend.

The fire started around 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Chief William Sisson says firefighters dealt with cold temperatures and strong winds while battling the flames.

WPRI-TV reports the home was contracted by the state Department of Children, Youth and Families to provide semi-independent housing to men between ages 18 and 21 who are in the department’s care. Officials say the building is uninhabitable. Five people have been displaced.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
