HONOLULU (AP) - The Honolulu Fire Department is investigating a two-alarm fire at an emergency homeless shelter.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports (https://bit.ly/2ngukaB ) that fire officials responded to a fire at the Onelauena Emergency Shelter on Friday. When they arrived, a third four unit within the barracks-type structure was emanating smoke and flames.
No one was in the unit at the time of the fire. The building’s occupants were alerted by an alarm system and evacuated without issue.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
