MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) - Middle Tennessee coach Rick Stockstill has hired Austin Silvoy to coach wide receivers, replacing Kez McCorvey.

Stockstill announced the hiring Wednesday.

Silvoy was a quality control coach for Stockstill last year, and Stockstill says he did an excellent job and understands the offense well.

A native of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Silvoy played at Troy between 2006 and 2010. He coached wide receivers and tight ends at Central Oklahoma and spent four years coaching wide receivers and directed international recruiting at Florida Tech before coming to Middle Tennessee.

Stockstill fired McCorvey in December after one season with the Blue Raiders.
