BUCKSPORT, Maine (AP) - A Magnitude 2.1 tremor has shaken things up near Bucksport, Maine.

The Weston Observatory in Massachusetts detected the small earthquake at about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in Monroe, Maine, a few miles west of Bucksport.

The Waldo Emergency Management Agency fielded numerous calls from concerned citizens.



James Frye of Monroe told WLBZ-TV that his whole house shook. Frye said the jolt was powerful enough to knock things off his shelves.

There were no reports of injuries.
