TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Tucson police are investigating the killing of a man found fatally wounded when officers responded to a report of a stabbing at a midtown apartment complex.

Sgt. Kimberly Bay says the victim had “obvious trauma” when found Tuesday night and that officers and firefighters provided medical assistance but that he died at a hospital.

Bay says a suspect had not been identified but that it appears the victim knew his attacker or attackers and that the incident wasn’t a random event.

The complex is located on the 3200 block of East Seneca Street.
